Grand Opening

We want to thank everyone who participated in the Grand Opening of the CITGO Miracle League Field. Despite the poor weather, everyone, stayed to enjoy the excitement, jubilee, and fun. We had over 20 additional players register to play and more volunteers signed up to be a Buddy. Faces were shining with smiles on everyone last Saturday as children and adults, for the first time, were able to play baseball on an obstruction-free field. Parents and volunteers had tears of joy as the players hit the ball, rolled/walked around the bases with their Buddy beside them, and made it home with amazing thrill. We especially thank CITGO, Whataburger, Blanche Davis Moore Foundation, CC Hooks, Charity League, and all of our sponsors/donors who made this field a reality. Thank you to 1st Community Bank for cooking, HEB for donating food, and Coca-Cola for providing drinks for everyone. We encourage you to sign your child or adult relative as a player or Buddy. Our first season begins on March 26.

Whataburger Ornament Sale

43 Whataburger restaurants in the Coastal Bend region (Corpus Christi, Kingsville, Falfurrias, Beeville, Portland, Sinton, Taft, Aransas Pass, Port Aransas, Ingleside, Port Lavaca, Victoria, Edna, Cuero, Refugio, and Goliad) will be selling $1 paper ornaments during a 5-week timeframe during the holidays to help raise money for the Miracle League of Corpus Christi. The goal is for each restaurant to sell a minimum of $1,000 ornaments. Last year, Whataburger raised $36,301 through this fundraiser. This year, we hope to raise $40,000! 100% of the proceeds will go to the Miracle League of Corpus Christi.
